Once you arrive at Mount Batur you will be served a light breakfast and tea or coffee to energise you for your trek. You will receive a welcome and safety briefing from your guide, who will then lead you to the top of the volcano. The trek takes around 1.5 – 2 hours and requires moderate fitness.

Upon arrival at the top, enjoy a second breakfast and take in the amazing views of the surrounding area at the break of day. After sunrise, enjoy some time to walk around the crater of the volcano before crossing a hill of lava and black sand. Trek back down the mountain, and meet your driver.

  1. Leanne Goff

Absolutely incredible experience and one of the highlights of my trip to Bali in April of this year, was most definitely worth getting up at 2am for the whole experience from start to finish. No trip is complete without taking in this trek. Can not recommend enough!

  2. Lauren Collins

Excellent experience – no clouds in the morning so the view was beautiful. Definitely wear layers though, can get very chilly at the top after a sold and sweaty 2hr hike to the summit
